So I was thinking of some aquatic SPOs that would be fun. I then thought of a giant clam chair that would eat the player only some of the time. The way it would work is the player would sit in it and we would throw a projectile later on. We can use this in all SPOs. Imagine this a grand snake, you sit in it, it begins to coil you. Your head is visible but the rest of you isn’t because of the sit cover image. (we can also choose the expression on your face) Ah but darn, the player is visible and we used a sitcover image, we can’t have the snake eat the player. Well WE CAN NOW Let’s throw a projectile that 1. makes the player invisble and 2. makes the player get off the chair. Player started visible and is now invisible. Chair was being sat in and is now empty (we can make it non interactable at this point) And the SPO can play different, happy belly animations while the player is still being digested. What more we can do from this… Mouth play, partial slime into full slime, not having the player have to teleport at the second of consumption, HUGS AND THEN SWALLOWING, keeping the player from escaping.

Gnaw is my favorite non-animated SPO and that founting thing is adorable.
Figured I'd ask this question publicly in case anyone's wondering this - Is sprite transparency something you can feasibly program? I know that it IS possible in Starbound (See: Ancient Light Platform) but is it possible, and if so, how would one go about submitting something involving that?

The main mall is completed as well as a slew of other features. We could release right now but with the next version of Starbound right around the corner (called “Cheerful Giraffe”), we’re just waiting for that to release, because I’m probably going to have to fix a lot of stuff.
But I’m not slacking. This ‘downtime’ is great for updating old features and making new ones.
Version 8.0 will (probably) include:
5 new NPCs (4 finished, 1 needs dialog)
2 Animated 4 Standard SPOs (Another 3 on the list but they are far down the list)
Unbirth Tag (Already implemented and tenants it would apply to switched)
RP Tool V2. (Used by preds to eat prey)
Anti-Digestion Pill
Tea plants (can be used to make tea to provide temporary protection to heat cold radiation and stomach acid. Found in the world with progression in mind)

He, and everyone else who answers the call, will not be a fully fledged SPO. Just a full and happy cameo. We already got someone to take us up on the offer! I <3 you guys. I would share it but I’ll save it as a surprise. The quality is really good.

Oh that doesn’t mean we can’t do something else with him later! Just we had the opportunity to give people who don’t want to do all the work to make an SPO or NPC. This way you can skip to the post-vore.
Hello again. I’m here to tell you about the major feature of 8.0.0 and answer some questions from anons.
The next major feature will be a hub world where you can buy everything related to the mod. The hub world aims to streamline the gathering or rare materials making content more available in addition to providing a fun atmosphere and a place where people on servers can converse.
Allow me to introduce you to: The Foodhall! (very WIP)
The Foodhall currently has capacity for 10 stores, 7 of which are currently used/will be used. They are:
Frogg Furnishings Reseller:
Hate how you want to get that one tenant but Frogg Furnishings isn’t selling the Seashell set right now? Well we have this wonderful store where you can buy all those wonderful pieces of furniture regardless of the day! Of course at an extravagant cost mind you.
Do IT Yourself:
In a similar fashion to the reseller. This store will sell blueprints you would normally have to scour the galaxy for even a hint of a fraction of a chance at getting one. When you just really want Goodra or the Inklings, you can come here and buy them, again at super high prices. Got to keep some resemblence of gameplay. The two lovely rodents you see are Tea Spot, and my own character Yaopon Mouse.
The Arcade:
Not strictly a store. Notice that red machine that says “NPC” on it. We will be changing drastically the way NPC rewards happen in 8.0.0. Now instead of dropping a random piece of the costume they will give you a token you can redeem for a chosen piece of the costume as well as any misc goodies they offer like the Harpies nest or Yoshi eggs. You can also exchange the tokens for clothing dyes and pixels. This way, just because you have all the unique rewards doesn’t mean your NPCs are now useless to you.
Memorabilia Store:
We make a lot of fun random items that aren’t explicitly vore related. The memorabilia store aims to give a home to these pieces and make them accessible. Like the Lesser Dog costume you see there. That’s been in the game long before we came to Tumblr, just hidden in the game files. This store gives us a way to introduce these items.
Bellybound and the Vore Furniture Store:
We aim to make belly bound a bit less crowded and splitting up SPOs and the thematic vore furniture you have come to love. Both the Bellybound Store and the Holographic store will no longer be craftable after 8.0.0 (but you can buy the holographic store at the mall)
Sewer Store:
Okay so vore is a pretty general category all things considered. Some content really isn’t… Okay look, blunt time. It’s gross. Sometimes I get things that make me gag a little. I’m not the toughest out there but still there’s got to be people worse than me.
Scat, CV, Hard vore, I guess unbirth but I always considered that to a lesser degree, all of these things we need to just accept that not everyone likes and like I said, are just gross to some.
Some would not want to play the mod when the item they need is right next to a big pile of dung on the store list right above them. That’s why we have this.
This store located in the deepest reaches, will provide access to such extreme content that may be visually repugnant. We serve all kinds. No judgement.
Yeah I know we are literally shoving you in the back of the darkest corner, but I swear this was for thematic reasons.
In other News:
Perhaps you have heard of Jeschke? They make some great Audio and an amazing text game. You should check them out. Anyway, we have about 300 sound effects from them we are considering. So get ready for a great increase in audio quality.
The next major update to Starbound will have tenants be official crew members to your ship and go on missions with you. Can’t say I’m for allowing preds with you because of just the random eating thing. But when it gets closer to release and I can probe it. I’ll see what I can do.

Here is the basic counter sprite and your size restriction. Feel free to include yourself with one or both current caretakers missing. We’ll add you as a cameo should I or Tea Spot require a break for a while.
You may also animate it. Just use make a new image with the reference frame. Find any way to send it to us you can and we’ll honestly consider it. (All files need to be in PNGs. If you want to write some brief dialog your character will say please feel free to and give that to me in a .txt document)

I remember having this issue a while ago, so I assume you aren’t just confused. Google it. It has to do something with your OS settings.
